Hideki Okajima Looking For MLB Comeback At 40

Okajima
After spending two years in Japan, former Red Sox reliever Hideki Okajima is looking to get back into the bigs. The lefty has been toiling for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars and feels he's proven enough at that level to justify a return to MLB. In five seasons with the Red Sox, Oki went 17-8 with a 3.09 ERA and a WHIP of 1.262. His legendary entrance theme (Okajima-Oki-doke) always thrilled fans at Fenway. Things did not start out too well for Oki, as he allowed a home run on his very first pitch in the major leagues (to John Buck, for you Trivia fans). We wish Okajima well in his efforts to hook up with an MLB team!
