Baseball America Names Benintendi 'Best Pure Hitter'

The authoritative Baseball America website has named Red Sox #1 draft pick Andrew Benintendi as the best 'pure hitter', having the 'best pro debut' and being the 'closest to the majors' of all players in the 2015 draft class. This trifecta for the former Arkansas Razorback is quite an accolade from a prestigious publication like BA. Benintendi was also ranked as the second best 'power hitter' and the fourth best overall 'athlete'. In his first pro season, the 5'10", 170-pound OF hit .313 with 11 HRs, 31 RBIs and 10 stolen bases across 54 games at two different "A" levels of minor league baseball.
