Yankees Experiencing Jacoby 'Fails-Bury' In Second Half

As pointed out by MassLive.com's Christopher Smith, former Red Sox center-fielder Jacoby Ellsbury is not exactly "lighting it up" since the All-Star Break. In fact, the Oregon native is hitting just .204 since the break—with a woeful .316 slugging percentage. Moreover, on the full season (not counting the entire month of June which he missed with a knee injury), he's batting just .253 with a .342 slugging percentage. And, as suggested by the low slugging numbers, he's not exactly going "yard" much in the short right-field of Yankee Stadium. In fact, he's got just three jacks this year at The Concrete Bunker On 161st Street. And, more than four of every five 2015 hits have been singles. Hey, Empire, how's that seven-year, $153 million contract working out for you?
