Sox Could Get to .500 At Home With Win Today

Tonight's Starter Rick Porcello
It's been a long, uphill battle, but the Red Sox could actually reach the .500 mark at home with a victory tonight. A win would also give them their first four-game winning streak of the season. Of course, the one big obstacle to these lofty goals is one Rick Porcello. The $95 million man takes to the hill tonight in pursuit of his fifth win of 2015—to go along with his 6.08 ERA. His WHIP is a depressing 1.405—but that's actually in range of his career WHIP of 1.363. What exactly were the Red Sox brass missing when they signed the 26-year old righty? As Curt Schilling pointed out this morning on WEEI's Dennis & Callahan Morning Show, the "weight of the world" will be on Porcello's shoulders tonight—since he knows he's the one thing not "clicking" on the suddenly resurgent Carmine Hose.
