The Red Sox are once again active on the International Free Agent market—reportedly signing two Venezuelan outfielders today. Boston has apparently signed both Albert Guaimaro and Simon Muzziotti—both young outfielders ranked highly by MLB. Guaimaro—a teenager—is ranked #14 on MLB's Top 30 International Prospects List and is considered by some scouts to be the best available player from Venezuela. Muzziotti—also a teenager—has been compared to a "young Jacoby Ellsbury". Boston was able to sign both players at the proscribed $300,000 limit.
