Sox Walk-Off With A 'Little Flair', Beat O's 3-2

The Game-Winning 'Bogie Bloop'
Andover High School's Ryan Hanigan tied the game with his first HR in Carmine Hose, Xander Bogaerts won it with a flair RBI in the 9th and the Red Sox took game one of nineteen from the O's, 3-2. Joe Kelly pitched mediocre enough to win, but Koji Uehara came away with the "W" after a scoreless top of the ninth. The game was interrupted in the fourth when Oriole starter Ubaldo Jimenez (who had been pitching a no-hitter) was ejected for throwing at the head of Pablo Sandoval (who was hit in the shoulder). The 9th inning 'Bogie Bloop' plated Mike Napoli who gauged the flight of the ball perfectly on his scamper home. Napoli had gotten to second on a perfect sacrifice bunt by Daniel Nava. All in all, a very sweet win against a tough division rival.
