Putting the First Two Sox Series In Perspective

(Exclusive FenwayNation Photo)
Last night was Dante Alighieri's Seventh Circle Of Hell—no doubt about it. But, after six games and two road series, your 2015 Carmine Hose are in pretty good shape. Boston has faced two crappy teams thus far, and they've come away with four wins. Not great, but not awful either. As they return to John Updike's 'lyric little bandbox of a ballpark' (EDITOR's NOTE: Please notice the two literary references in one post), they have to contend with the consensus 'best team in baseball'—the Washington Nationals. Even when you avoid DC's best starting pitchers, you face some wicked good starting pitchers. It won't be easy. But the energy of Fenway should get at least one win in the series. Today will be an interesting test.
