| Travis Shaw Goes Yard |
Even a meaningless Spring Training contest between the Red Sox and
 Evil Ones is special—
if we win, that is. Such was the case this afternoon, as Boston beat
The Pinstriped Posers, 10-6 at
Concrete Bunker South in Tampa. The "kids" were the stars for
The Carmine Hose—as first-base prospect
Travis Shaw went 2-4—with a HR, double and three RBIs. Also knocking in three runs was
Garin Cecchini—while
Mookie Betts had three hits on the day.
Joe Kelly got the win, going three innings and giving up two earned runs. Boston has now won six straight games, after dropping the first two non-collegiate tilts.
