Former Red Sox starter
Felix Doubront re-upped with Theo Epstein's Cubbies on a one-year, $1.925 million contract. Doubront—due to multiple injuries—had a disappointing 2014 (5.54 ERA). The lefty has always shown "plus" stuff, but has never really lived up to his potential. At age 27, he is still young enough to put it all together—and Chicago's North Side might just be the right place. In 2013, Doubront was an
extremely valuable member of the World Series Championship team—going 11-6 with a 4.32 ERA in 162.1 innings (including 27 starts). In that year's postseason, Doubront went a combined 7 innings—posting a 1.29 ERA. We wish him the best in
The Windy City this year.
