The Cleveland Indians have signed former Red Sox manager Terry Francona to a new two-year contract extension. No financial terms were disclosed, but the deal would cement Tito in The Mistake By The Lake through the 2018 season. Francona was the skipper on two Red Sox World Championship teams (2004, 2007) and was fired after the 2011 season—amid some serious backstabbing by management on Yawkey Way.
