Multiple media reports indicate that
the Red Sox will sign former farmhand Hanley Ramirez to a five year, $90 million contract. Reportedly, Ramirez is on his way to Boston this morning. Ramirez. 30, was traded to the Marlins in exchange for
Josh Beckett. Presumably, Ramirez would play third base (which he has indicated would be fine with him). However, if Boston also signs
Pablo Sandoval, Ramriez would likely move to left field.
