First—No Sox Or Evil Ones In MVP Balloting

For the first time in the more than century-old history of MVP balloting, no Red Sox or Yankees appeared in the final tallies. The Pinstriped Posers have collected a total of 22 MVP awards over the years, while the Red Sox have 11. If you peruse the rosters of the two rivals, it's hard to find anyone who was worthy of an MVP vote, so it's not really all that surprising. Nevertheless, it says a lot about the slippage of the American League East that both have fallen so far. Maybe A-Fraud will get The Bronx Embalmers back into the MVP race next year.
