The Dodgers have let it be known that
they are "aggressively" trying to thin out their crowded outfield—similar to the Red Sox. Of course, one of
their expendable outfielders is
Matt Kemp, a player Boston has lusted after before. If the Sox can clear out
Yoenis Cespedes and one or two other outfielders in a trade, could they move some prospects to get Kemp? The 30-year old Kemp just had a big bounce-back year for the
Denizens Of Chavez Ravine—hitting .287 with 25 HRs and 89 RBIs in 150 games. While that didn't match his stellar 2011 numbers (.324, 39, 126, #2 in MVP voting), it's an indication that his injury woes
may be behind him. Yet another intriguing option for
Ben Cherington.
