Sox And Marlins Never Talked Giancarlo Stanton

While Boston and Miami did engage in trade discussions about moving Jon Letser's talents to South Beach, the parties never discussed the ultimate prize: Giancarlo Stanton. This, according to sources speaking with WEEI.com's Rob Bradford. Other sources claim that while Miami offered a rich package of prospects for Lester—they even flirted with including major leaguer Christian Yelich. Ultimately, the two sides backed off from any deal, and the rest is transaction history. Many still believe that Stanton is going to prove too rich for the Marlins' blood and that the 24-year old slugger will be shopped over the winter. So, you're saying there's a chance?
