Astros Win For First Time Ever At Fenway, 5-3

This was another one that the Red Sox should have won—and probably would have if this were 2013. But, Boston blew 2-0 and 3-2 leads on the way to a 5-3 loss to Houston. Clay Buchholz pitched well enough to lose—giving up a game-tying HR to Robbie Grossman that effectively ended his shot at a win. Yoenis Cespdepes smoked a line shot HR into he Monster Seats that reach it's destination in nanoseconds. The Red Sox also botched a weird play on which Houston tied the score at three. Xander Bogaerts lolly-gagged a potential inning-ending grounder and was too late on his feed to second—the throw home was mishandled and the run scored (although it appeared the runner was outside the basepath). In any event, Craig Breslow continued his poor year by putting the winning runs on base in the 10th.
