Come on, does King Felix Hernandez really need 12 runs worth of support? The Mariners beat up on John Lackey and the Red Sox last night in an ugly 12-3 loss in Starbucks City. Lackey (who gave up seven earned runs) did not make it out of the fourth inning—compounding issues by not covering first base on a possible double play that lead to a key early run. Dustin Pedroia, David Ortiz and Mike Napoli each had two hits, but the Red Sox looked like one of those flying dead salmons at Pike Place Market.
