John Lackey pitched well for the second time this season and
Jackie Bradley, Jr. posted three hits and two RBIs in the
5-1 win over Texas. Bradley, Jr. also contributed two stellar plays in right field—looking like a guy who never wants to see AAA again. Lackey allowed one unearned run on five hits in his seven innings of work—improving to 2-0 on the year.
Mike Napoli (White House Pronunciation: Na-
POLE-Ee) and
A.J. Pierzynski also had three hits in the win.
Dustin Pedroia and
Daniel Nava had an RBI each. So, Boston dodged a fourth straight loss—something they avoided all last year.
