Three Red Sox Jobs Up For Grabs In Fort Myers

As The Boston Herald's Michael Silverman points out, there are three spots left undecided on the Red Sox Opening Day Roster. Those three are: the starting center fielder, one reliever and a utility infielder. The marquee competition is, of course, between Grady Sizemore and Jackie Bradley, Jr. The news that both Daniel Nava and Shane Victorino will get Spring playing time in center lends credence to the idea that Sizemore will stick and Bradley will be sent back to AAA. The single reliever will come down to whether Craig Breslow is ready to be the third lefty in the pen. If not, the last spot could go to Rich Hill or possibly right-hander Francisco Cordero (who has impressed). The utility job is down to Jonathan Herrara or Brock Holt—both lefty hitters and both with experience on the left side of the infield. Stay tuned, GAME 1 is 12 days away!
