The battle to succeed
Jenny Dell is not over—despite the fact that
NESN just hired a woman they say will be a "reporter, anchor and host".
Sarah Davis—formerly of
Rogers SportsNet in Toronto—will start in mid-February in a still undefined role. Davis has covered soccer (we bet that helped with
John Henry), lacrosse, hockey, basketball and UFC (we're still not
exactly sure what that is—not that we
want to know). If the sideline reporter search hits a snag, Davis
could move into that role—although we still think either
Jamie Erdahl,
Jen Royle,
Kelly Malone or
Abby Chin could do the job.
