Ellsbury Signs 7-Year Deal With The Evil Empire

Judas Jacoby
Nightmare of nightmares! The New York Yankees have signed Jacoby Ellsbury to a 7-year, $153 million contract (a potentiality reported by FenwayNation way back on November 1st). The deal is pending a physical—which would sour things if the Red Sox physicians are at all involved. And you think Johnny Damon was hated in Boston after he went to The Darkside? This is a far deeper cut than Damon, since Ellsbury was reared in the Red Sox system and spent his entire seven-year career in Boston. Mark the date: April 22nd—the first trip into Fenway by the traitor of the hour. Just call him Judas Jacoby!
