According to the
Globe's Nick Cafardo
the Red Sox are still pursuing 36-year old Carlos Beltran—and are going toe-to-toe with
The Evil Ones and the Orioles. According to Cafardo, the first team to offer Beltran a 3-year deal will likely land the right-fielder (who would likely play left field for the Red Sox). I don't know about you, but I don't want an almost 40-year old Beltran limping around Fenway in 2016.
