Carlos Ruiz (he of the 25-game PED suspension) was a catching target of the Red Sox in case
Jarrod Saltalamacchia walked out that free agency door. Well, you can scratch Ruiz off your list, as the
Phillies have re-signed him to a three-year, $26 million contract. This has got to be great news for Salty, who will likely fetch more years and more cash than the 34-year old Ruiz.
