The big bully on Baltimore's block (the Ravens) tried to give the little guys (the Orioles) the equivalent of a prime time wedgie. But it didn't work. The NFL whined last March when they realized that the Orioles had a previously scheduled night game in place for the Thursday slot "reserved" for Super Bowl Champions to open the season at home. Tough noogies, Roger Goodell. The Orioles rightly prevailed and they will go on with their more meaningful game at Camden Yards this evening. The Ravens will open on the road against the Broncos. The NFL will likely win the ratings battle tonight, but the right sport stood its ground. Chalk one up for justice.
