Red Sox Top Scout Following Cubbies Out West

Papi And Gregg Reunion?
According to Paul Sullivan of the Chicago Tribune, the Red Sox have sent sent chief scout Gary Hughes (formerly a Cubs assistant GM) to follow the North-Siders on their west coast swing. Now that the Orioles have scooped up Scott Feldman, the remaining players of interest for Boston are starter Matt Garza and closer Kevin Gregg. Garza, of course, has a rich history of success in the AL East, but would likely fetch "two or three top prospects" according to Sullivan. You may recall that just about two years ago (July 8, 2011), Gregg and David Ortiz got into a benches-clearing brawl at Fenway.
