Xander Bogaerts Back In Stride At AA Portland

As WEEI.com's Alex Speier points out, Xander Bogaerts has shaken off any negatives from his participation in the World Baseball Classic. The WBC schedule—and his light playing time in the tournament—set him back a bit this spring. Now, however, the best positional prospect in the Boston organization is living up to his billing. Since April 16th, he's hitting a ridiculous .415—with a .492 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of .660. Still just 20 years of age, Bogaerts is dominating the AA Eastern League and seems likely to jump to AAA (or higher) before the year is out.
