Reunion In Tampa Better Than Any Ballgame

Last Night's Winning Moment
Before last night's Red Sox-Rays game in Tampa, fans witnessed a real life moment far more important than the game itself. Nine-year old Alayna Adams was told that she was selected to throw out the first pitch at the game as a member of a military family. Before she took the mound, the crowd saw a brief video greeting from her Dad, Will Adams—due home soon from Afghanistan. After the video, Alayna took the ball and threw to the catcher behind the plate. She thought he caught her pitch kind of awkwardly for an MLB player. Sure enough, after he took off the catcher's mask, it was not a professional ballplayer—it was her Dad. An amazing reunion ensued, a truly professional father-daughter moment.
