It turns out that MLB Commissioner
Bud Selig is pretty much in tune with
most FenwayNation readers—and everyone in Greater Boston—with regard to the expletive-laden comments of
David Ortiz. When asked to comment on Papi's speech to the Fenway Park crowd last Saturday, Selig stated,
"It was really emotional for me. I actually cried through the whole ceremony. I'm not afraid to tell you that. On one hand it was so uplifting, so sad in another way. I agree with the FCC. I thought David Ortiz's choice of words was outstanding, given what he was trying to say. I mean that sincerely."
