Jose Iglesias is out of today's lineup, but X-Rays are not needed on his plunked elbow/forearm. Most importantly, he is likely to be back at SS in Sunday's game at
SkyDome. Of course, this sets up a major decision point for
Ben Cherington. When
Stephen Drew is ready for action on Monday in the Home Opener, he (and his $9.5 million contract) will be out there. This will be both a baseball decision and a PR/Marketing decision. The Nation has already fallen in love with Iglesias (and
Jackie Bradley, Jr. for that matter) and don't want them gone. Our own poll shows that, as of this morning,
88% want to keep Iglesias at short—assuming he continues to hit.
