So much for competition in Spring Training. The Red Sox all but set their 2013 catching corp before the start of camp, designating
Jarrod Saltalamacchia and David Ross as the only two options behind the plate.
Ryan Lavarnway will—as is the case with most Red Sox prospects—wait an inordinate amount of time in the minors. Of course, a trade could still alter the alignment in the next several weeks, but as of now, it's Salty and Ross.
