Just A Bit Outside The Hub |
Back on January 17th, we wrote that Daisuke Matsuzaka might rejoin Terry Francona in Cleveland. Well, it has come to pass.
The Indians announced today that they have signed Dice-K to a minor league deal—with an invite to Spring Training. If he makes the Opening Day roster, he'll earn $1.5 million—with incentives that could push the deal as high as $4 million. It's unclear at this point whether Dice-K has a real shot at a rotation spot, or if he'd just be a bullpen option. If he does make the squad, he'll join a slew of other ex-Carmine Hose in The Mistake By The Lake.
