Tom Werner Responds To Francona's Book

PROV. JOURNAL / KRIS CRAIG
Tom Werner is the friendly, affable face of the Red Sox ownership group—the "cheerful" one as Larry Lucchino might say. But don't be fooled. You don't find success and riches in television by being a country bumpkin. Among the epic televisions shows Werner guided to success were 'The Cosby Show', 'Roseanne' and 'Third Rock From The Sun'. So, when he fires back a response to the recent excerpts from Terry Francona's new book, you have to take note. All in all, Werner seems to be taking on the 'good cop' role. Here's his comment on Tito: “We had unbelievable success together for many years, and now our focus is on 2013.” Pretty innocuous, wouldn't you say? But stay tuned for the 'bad cop' yang to Werner's yin. It's coming. As sure as the 9th Anniversary Celebration of the 2004 World Championship.
