ESPN's Buster Olney has put together
a series of Top Ten Lists for the 2013 season. The lists rank the best overall teams, rotations, bullpens, lineups, infields and outfields. Of these six top ten rankings, the Red Sox appear in just
one:
they are number six on the lineup list. This is interesting, since most of the local mainstream sports media has been touting the Red Sox bullpen as a key strength. A potential 'pen of

Koji Uehara,
Andrew Bailey,
Junichi Tazawa,
Andrew Miller,
Alfredo Aceves,
Craig Breslow,
Daniel Bard, and
Chris Carpenter does seem formidable. But, Olney saw fit to rank bullpens like Arizona's (10a) ahead of the Carmine Hose.
