The Red Sox trouped out their new closer yesterday to the voracious media hordes.
Joel Hanrahan got his first look at his new Fenway digs and pronounced them worthy. Echoing many first impressions of the park, Hanrahan said,
“I thought this place was amazing. A lot bigger than I thought it was. Obviously, a ton of history here. I got to go up on the top of the Monster and see what it’s like from that angle." The new ninth-inning guy also seems to be pretty media savvy:
"I’ve always felt like I’ve had a good relationship with the media. It’s part of our job to be open and talk to the media as well." A good start for this town.
