Apparently striving to become the oldest team in the American League,
the Red Sox are now pursuing 32-year old Shane Victorino to plug one of their outfield holes. So far, Boston has signed only players in their 30s (
Mike Napoli,
Jonny Gomes,
David Ross) and are flirting with other thirtysomethings (
Nick Swisher and now Victorino). The Hawaii native hit .255 with 11 home runs in 2012 for Philly and the Dodgers. Unconfirmed reports indicate that AARP is considering a deal for Fenway Park naming rights.
