Return Of The Native |
Gary DiSarcina, a native of Malden (raised in Billerica), has been named the new manager of the Pawtucket Red Sox—the team's AAA affiliate. DiSarcina previously managed the team's Single A
Lowell Spinners for three seasons. He also played 12 seasons for the Angels—compiling a .258 lifetime average. He was in-line for a promotion within the management structure of the Angels, but chose to go back to the field and manage for his hometown team's organization. DiSarcina was also briefly a
NESN analyst.
