REPORT: Sox Interest In Hamilton "Overblown"

Sources have told's Rob Bradford that the Red Sox interest level in free-agent outfielder Josh Hamilton is "overblown". GM Ben Cherington had downplayed the issue earlier on WEEI's air by calling the meeting with Hamilton's agent just "due diligence". The Red Sox may simply be playing it coy until the market collapses even further for Hamilton, then come in later with a three-year deal for far less than the player is seeking.
