Globe's Peter Abraham, for the first time ever,
no Red Sox player received a single vote in the AL MVP balloting. That's a history that stretches back to 1911—when the award was initiated. There are a lot of hideous moments during the Lost Year between September 2011 and September 2012, but this could be the most telling.
