Sellout Streak Lives On At Fenway (AP Photo) |
Even the rains can't save us. With the Red Sox trailing Saturday night's game in the 5th inning, they scored two runs and had built
some momentum in a 5-2 contest. Then, the skies opened over Fenway Park—and then it looked like
nature might keep us from descending to the AL East basement anyway. Wrong, Obstructed View Breath! When the skies cleared, Boston's momentum had vanished with the mist, and the Carmine Hose went on to
a 9-2 loss to the Blue Jays. Daisuke Matsuzaka—in what may be his final game in a Red Sox uniform—went a whole inning and one-third giving up five earned runs. Boston is now ensconced alone in the cellar of the division with a record of 63-77.
