Under-STRAND-ably, Sox Blow Lead And Lose

Associated Press
They stranded six runners in just the seventh, eighth and ninth innings. They blew a 5-1 lead when their starter (Felix Doubront) lost his control and started walking the ballpark. They squandered multiple opportunities handed to them by the hapless Twinkies—like Justin Morneau dropping a third out foul ball and Carl Crawford smashing a three-run homer on the next pitch. They are just—flat out—an awful team going nowhere. They fell to 53-54 with a 6-5 10th-inning loss to a team that's even worse than they are—at home. How's that 100th Anniversary of Fenway Park working out for you, Nation?
