You think Kevin Youkilis has something to prove? After a three-hit night in his debut on Monday, the former Red Sox infielder smacked a 3-run HR (on a 3-2 pitch) into the Monster Seats to the sounds of "Youuuuuuk!" from the still smitten masses at Fenway. At the time, it pushed the Pale Hose lead to 6-2, but it proved to be the margin of victory in
an eventual 7-5 Boston loss. Jon Lester was, again, completely ineffective—going just four innings and coughing up six earned. Lester seems as clueless as the rest of us as to why this former dominant ace is now a shell of his former self. Carl Crawford stayed hot, with three more hits, three stolen bases, two runs scored and an RBI. Kelly "Trade Bait" Shoppach came off the bench to clout a 2-run homer in the eighth that made the game close. In the end, however, the Papi-Less Carmine Hose fell back to just one-game over .500. Youk's new team?
Ten over.
