Yes! Yes! Beck-Ett

They really did 'bend it like Beckett" tonight. The Red Sox played opportunistic baseball, overcame mistakes, came back from deficits twice and edged the Rays, 4-3 to move 4 games up in the Wild Card with 12 to play.

Beckett, after a rough first, gutted out a 6-inning mini-gem—striking out 7 and walking only 1. David Oritz, Mike Aviles and Dustin Pedroia were the hitting stars—with Aviles knocking out the game-winning home run off James Shields. Bard returned to form and Papelbon shut down the Rays in the 9th for his 30th save (the first closer ever to record 30 saves in his first 6 seasons)

All in all, a character win.
