FenwayNation Poll shows that a majority of readers (52%) think that
Joe Kelly (AKA
Jim Buchanan) will get a warmer reception from Red Sox fans than
Dave Roberts—when
The Denizens Of Chavez Ravine visit Fenway in July. As the chart shows, the
next highest percentage (29%) think the two former Red Sox players will get "equally" warm receptions from the crowd during the three-game set (July 12-14, 2019). Just under one-fifth of readers (19%) think Roberts (one of the heroes of the 2004 World Series team) will get the warmer reception. Kelly, of course, turned in
huge outings during the 2018 post-season and has also become a bit of a folk-hero in Boston for his "Fight Club" performance against
