Seventeen Years Ago Tomorrow, We Stopped Being Concerned With Baseball

Tomorrow will mark seventeen years since the barbaric terrorist attack on America that took place on September 11, 2001. The horror of that Tuesday's events, and the grueling aftermath, put all of our lives on hold. Baseball was no exception. The destruction that befell us at New York City's World Trade Center; the Pentagon in Washington, D.C.; and in a quiet field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania shook our nation to its very core. Our website's petty little screeds against the Yankees seemed so trivial in the days and weeks that followed. Accordingly, we put FenwayNation on hold for several weeks—with the accompanying front page you see HERE. Hopefully, our country will never again have to suffer that pain and heartache.
