If Sox Make World Series, A Game Seven Would Be At Fenway On Halloween

Not to get ahead of ourselves too much, but thanks to the Red Sox clinching the MLB's best record (and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs), any World Series Game Seven would be at Fenway Park on Halloween night. Yup, you heard it right. How could it be any other way for the Red Sox, right? And, if they happened to be facing their World Series opponents from 100 years ago—the Chicago Cubs—Game Seven would really be a spook-fest. There would be enough ghosts around the old ball-yard to scare off Cubbie fan (and former GhostBuster) Bill Murray. Now, this sweet eventuality is a long way off—and would require ten post-season wins by The Carmine Hose before even getting to a World Series Game Seven. But, still, a dream re-match of the 1918 World Series would have to be Rob Manfred's best-case scenario for this year's Fall Classic. Come on—Theo Epstein facing off against the NOG (Red Sox New Ownership Group), maybe even Jon Lester on the hill for Chicago versus Chris Sale. It doesn't get much better than that.
