The Red Sox gained their 83rd and 84th wins of the year on Saturday—further humiliating the hapless Orioles, 5-0 and 6-4. In the day portion of the double-header, David Price went six solid innings, striking out 10 Birds on the way to his 12th win of the year. Jackie Bradley, Jr. hit two solo HRs, while Eduardo Nunez also went yard with a two-run blast. Xander Bogaerts went 3-4 with two runs scored. In the nightcap, J.D. Martinez homered twice (he now leads MLB with 37 HRs and 104 RBIs). Brock Holt and Dan Butler also had RBIs for Boston. The wins—despite a victory by The Evil Ones—added a half-game to the Red Sox lead in the AL East. Boston now leads The Pinstriped Posers by 9.5 games. Chris Sale returns to the mound on Sunday—seeking to give the Red Sox a four-game sweep in Charm City (which would move Boston to a ridiculous 50 games over .500).
