All of us in Red Sox Nation have gotten some terrible news this afternoon. NESN announced that Red Sox legend
Jerry Remy has again been diagnosed with cancer. He will not broadcast any more games this season. This is the sixth time Remy has battled cancer since 2008. Said NESN in a statement:
"Jerry Remy has been diagnosed once again with cancer. At this time, Jerry’s focus is on his medical treatment. The thoughts and prayers of all of us at NESN and the Red Sox are with Jerry and his family during this difficult time." There is no one more beloved by everyone in
The Nation than Jerry—we wish him a speedy recovery from this bout with cancer and a quick return to the broadcast booth.
