According to multiple reports, the Red Sox are one of six teams still in on Marlins relief pitcher Brad Ziegler—who was with Boston in the second half of the 2016 season. The other five teams in the mix are: The Evil Ones, Phillies, Dodgers, Indians and Diamondbacks. Ziegler performed well for the Red Sox after being acquired from Arizona in 2016 for the immortal duo of Jose Almonte and Luis Alejandro Basabe. The right-hander went 2-4 with a stellar 1.52 ERA in 29.2 innings of work. He also pitched well in limited action in the 2016 post-season for Boston.
