Evil Ones On Verge Of Acquiring Jays Starter J.A. Happ For Prospects, Drury

UPDATE: Deal done—Happ for Drury and McKinney.
Multiple reports indicate that the Yankees are finalizing a trade that would net them Blue Jays starting pitcher J.A. Happ. It's unclear exactly which New York prospects will be heading to The Great White North in return, but it appears that IF Brandon Drury (who really has no role on the major league roster) will also be in the deal. Happ, you may recall, was the hurler who recently gave up a Mookie Betts grand slam after an epic 13-pitch at-bat. The left-handed Happ is 10-6 this year—with a 4.18 ERA. Over his 12-year MLB career, he's posted a solid 102-82 record with an ERA of 3.95. The 35-year-old is signed through the end of this season and thus will be a free agent in 2019—so the haul in prospects might be less than usual. Stay tuned for further details.
