Mookie Betts Leads All American League Players In 2018 All-Star Balloting

Despite recently missing 14 games to injury, Red Sox right-fielder Mookie Betts leads all other American League players in All-Star balloting—garnering 748,872 votes in the first update. Mookie leads second-place vote-getter Jose Altuve by 47,636 votes. The Red Sox also find their designated hitter, J.D. Martinez, topping that category with 513,415 votes—enjoying a whopping 281,530-vote lead over Evil One Giancarlo Stanton. Andrew Benintendi and Jackie Bradley, Jr. also get outfield votes—Benny Ballgame in the 6th spot with 208,837 votes and JBJ in 12th place with 105,821 votes.
