Sale, Price And Pomeranz Will Hurl For Red Sox In Upcoming Series With Jays

UPDATE: Jays place Stroman on DL
Chris Sale, David Price and Drew Pomeranz (in that order) will close out this interminable road trip for the Red Sox at SkyDome (never to be referred to as Rogers Centre). While Sale has an ERA two runs lower than Toronto's Friday starter, Aaron Sanchez, the Blue Jay hurler's stuff can—at times—be electric. Of course, the big question for Price on Saturday is whether he was able to lay off Fortnite on Friday. He will face Marco Estrada—who actually has a higher ERA than Mr. Video Game (5.21 vs. 5.11). And then Pomeranz will be tested on Sunday to see if his resurgence is real or not. Despite the Red Sox losing his start on Tuesday in New York, the lefty pitched well (6 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, 6 Ks). He will match up against Marcus Stroman—who also has a higher ERA than our guy (7.71 vs. 5.23). So, on paper, Boston should have a real shot at sweeping the Jays—and burying them deeper in the division.
